BRIEF

On Friday 21 and Saturday 22 October the Valle dei Laghi (TN) hosted the fifth edition of “Reboro. Territory and Passion “. Organized by the “Associazione Vignaioli del Vino Santo Trentino DOC”, the event provided an opportunity to get to know and risin wine from Trentino, which is becoming increasingly appreciated for its peculiarities and great aging potential. Also for this edition, as per tradition, Reboro hosted another great wine, such as the Buttafuoco Storico dell’ Oltrepò Pavese, in a twinning of similarities and differences between the two territories and their labels.


ACTIVITIES

Zed_Comm took care of all PR and Press Office activities to promote the event before and after. It also identified a group of Italian press and influencers, chosen together with the Association on the basis of the latter’s visibility objectives, who were invited and involved during the event with specific moments dedicated to the discovery of the territory of this wine. In this case, the agency took care of all the logistics, as well as of the contents to be disclosed to the journalists themselves. A post-event follow-up activity followed to amplify the results in the national, local and television press and on social networks.


OUTCOMES

The event was attended by a selection of journalists, as well as a public of enthusiasts involved in the second day of the event. The media, both trade and lifestyle, and the local newspapers, gave the news before and after the event, giving visibility to the event and making it known to a wide and heterogeneous audience. The trade publications, on the other hand, have allowed Reboro to approach an audience of experts, by whom it was evaluated very positively.

The “Oltrepò – Terra di Pinot Nero” event. “A territory, a grape variety, two excellences”. Second edition.


On September 26, 2022, the second edition of “Oltrepò – Terra di Pinot Nero. One territory, one grape variety, two excellens” was held at the Antica Tenuta Pegazzera, a noble palace on the hills of Casteggio, in Pavia province. The first edition was held in September 2021 and is a part of a series of events dedicated to the press and wine industry representatives.

BRIEF

The event concept was born from a group of virtuous wineries and their team spirit, according to a line carried on by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese, the organisation in charge of protecting and promotes and wines of the area and the historical heritage of the territory. The idea of the producers, which the Consortium fully embraced, was to create an occasion dedicated to the press and the trade representatives, to celebrate and add value to the Pinot Nero grape variety and its double soul: the elegant one of the vinification in red and the refined one of the Traditional Method, also in the Rosé version.


ACTIVITIES

A group of 34 wineries from Oltrepò Pavese – 70% more than the last edition – with the guide of the Consortium took part in the kermess as exhibitors and, during a walk around tasting, presented their wines to a public of trade representatives – working in restaurants and wine shops – and sommeliers, as well as international and Italian journalists. The labels of the wineries were also presented at two masterclasses, respectively dedicated to Pinot Nero dell’Oltrepò Pavese DOC in red, given by Filippo Bartolotta, and to Oltrepò Pavese DOCG Metodo Classico Pinot Nero, dedicated to Traditional Method and held by Chiara Giovoni: two prepared and expert communicators. ZedComm was in charge of the organisation of the event (management of the location and presence of the guests, contacts with suppliers, the definition of the concept) and the press office activities.


OUTCOMES

This year participated at the event more than 70 journalists and over 160 trade representatives participated. They had the opportunity to taste the wineries’ unique wines and were impressed by the beauty of the location and such a distinct area. Even the producers benefited from the event regarding reputation and brand awareness. They had the chance to talk about their excellence to high-level guests.

VinoVip Cortina 2022: the biennial of Civiltà del bere, now on its thirteenth edition

59 of the most famous Italian wineries hosted in the pearl of the Dolomites: two days dedicated to tastings and talks, surrounded by a wonderful panorama.


BRIEF

VinoVip on its thirteenth edition confirms its own role as a reference summit for the world of Italian wine. The biennal event organized by the magazine Civiltà del bere took place on 10th and 11th of July in Cortina d’Ampezzo, under the patronage of the municipality and with the contribution of the ICEs agency. Expert and professionals met to outline together the future of the wine sector. The event involved the trade, business and lifestyle press, but also the most demanding wine lovers, in a rich program


ACTIVITIES

Zed-Comm – thanks to the strong relationships in the area – took care of: supporting the customer organizing the event and choosing the locations; select, invite and manage the Italian press and some selected influencers; manage the local press, spread press releases before the event to give them visibility in B2B and B2C magazines; manage logistics and all journeys of journalists; manage relations with local institutions; create and send to the press all the materials necessary to obtain the right post-event coverage on the selected media.

The idea of ​​the “high-altitude toast” opened to wine lovers as well as to sector operators was once again a winner. Around sixty wine companies were involved (with all the most important names in the sector). Sunday began with the traditional talk show, dedicated to the New Skills topic: therefore the spotlight was on the world of work in the wine sector, on the training, and on the skills needed to grow professionally. At the same time the Kahil Prize was also awarded, named and dedicated to the founder of Civiltà del bere a person who has distinguished himself in the enhancement of Italian wine worldwide. In the evening, the press and producers reserved dinner, which allowed the latter to interface in a relaxed atmosphere with journalists by tasting their wines. On Monday morning was organized a trekking tour for journalists in the wonderful setting of Dolomiti mountains, Unesco heritage, with a brunch and tasting at high altitude, in the Caloria Refuge. In the afternoon, during the walk around tasting at the Club House of the Golf Club – also open to operators and the public – the wineries presented three excellent labels each, for a total of over 170 wines and spirits.


OUTCOMES

This edition, after a three-year stop, has managed to strongly attract the interest of the press and industry operators, especially those always looking for new proposals with a medium-high customer target. Many wine lovers crowded to the walk around tasting on Monday.The idea of ​​making journalists live not only the experience inside the glass, but also the territory in all its facets, has allowed us to offer a 360 ° experience between wine, food, nature and extremely topical issues for the sector, offering multiple ideas from which many articles in the main media of the sector have arisen.The next appointment will be in Forte dei Marmi in June 2023.

BRIEF

The Consorzio Tutela VIni d’Abruzzo, for the third consecutive year, has organized – from 6 to 8 June – the Abruzzo Wine Experience: five days of tastings to discover the oenological Abruzzo, including natural beauty, food, wine cellars and a Grand Tasting that this year was held in the beautiful Palazzo d’Avalos in Vasto, with over 300 labels being tasting. Zed-Comm has been entrusted with the task of inviting and managing the Italian and European press with the aim of reporting on the new vintages of all the Consortium’s member wineries, the new projects linked to the Consortium, and the Abruzzo region, which increasingly wants to establish itself as a destination not only for wine but also for tourism and culture.


ACTIVITIES

Work began on this major project at the beginning of 2022, identifying the journalists most in line with the communication strategy approved by the Consozio. Target audience: obviously the most important trade press (Italian and European), but also journalists linked to more lifestyle stories to be able to talk not only about the oenological aspect, but also about all the other facets of the territory. Zed-Comm also supported the Consorzio in managing a number of suppliers in order to better organize the guest’s travel and the stay, working in synergy with other agencies in the sector to reach the final goal of hosting about 120 journalists from all over the world.Ad hoc invitations for the press were created, an intense recall activity was carried out and our team supported the customer every day: from tastings, to institutional moments, with one-to-one interviews with the protagonists of Abruzzo wine-growing, up to dinners with wines paired with the creations of the most important local chefs and guided tours of the wineries. After the event, an extensive press kit was produced and sent to everyone, allowing the press report – from various points of view – on the experience and the news in the glass on all the most important media.During the event a moment was also dedicated to the award of the international journalistic competition “Words of Wine”, now in its sixth edition, and to that of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo by the glass 2021, with the presentation of the prizes to two Japanese restaurateurs who obtained the best sales results of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo in their country.


OUTCOMES

It was possible to make international opinion leaders understand the extraordinary growth in the quality level of Abruzzo wines. The guests – with this project – were able to follow that common thread that binds wine, territory, culture and traditions in Abruzzo.Territorial promotion, for a region like Abruzzo, which although very small  is a concentrate of natural beauties physically close, but extreme in their manifestation, ranging from the sea to the high mountains, from the sweetness of the coasts to the wild woods of the interior, is the strategy that more than any other can give maximum value to the territory, with a return for all producers.
