ON THE ROAD WITH KNIGHT FRANK TO DISCOVER TUSCANY AND SICILY

ZedComm organised for its client Knight Frank, an important international real estate agency, two press trips, to Tuscany and Sicily, with a select group of journalists from the design industry and major Italian newspapers. The visits took place respectively on 5 and 6 June at the Tenuta di Forci in Lucca and on 14-15-16 June at the Villas of the Verdura Resort in the province of Agrigento.


BRIEF

Let key press contacts know about two important development projects, turnkey, ready-to-use and fully equipped houses for sale by Knight Frank in crucial real estate market areas.

 


ACTIVITIES

Important journalists of the calibre of Il Sole 24 Ore and Elle Decor took part in the trip to the Tenuta di Forci; also, leading members of the local press – the daily newspapers Il Tirreno and La Nazione – were invited. A tour was planned to visit the farmhouses, agricultural estates with a biodynamic approach, a clear example of turnkey properties, equipped with every service and immersed in the greenery of the beautiful hills of Lucca. The Verdura Resort trip was attended by important representatives of luxury and design magazines, such as Gentleman and Interni, who were welcomed by the staff of Rocco Forte Hotels, which manages the villas – on sale at Knight Frank – to guarantee absolute comfort: not just ‘ready-to-use’ properties, therefore, but real branded residences, like in a luxury hotel. Once back home, the journalists received all the material explaining the properties, complete with photos and videos.


OUTCOMES

The participating journalists, enthusiastic about innovative projects and in love with the beauty of the locations, wrote articles and in-depth reports for their leading newspapers and their design and lifestyle magazines.

ABRUZZO WINE EXPERIENCE 2023 – ABRUZZO WINES PREVIEW STAGED FROM 6 TO 9 JUNE

Four days of wine tastings to discover the oenologica Abruzzo, amidst natural beauty, food and wineries. The heart of the event was the Grand Tasting at Tenuta Coppa Zuccari in Città Sant’Angelo on 7 June with over 300 labels on tasting: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Trebbiano, Cerasuolo and more to tell the press about the growth of regional wines.


BRIEF

Zed-comm, once again this year, was commissioned by the Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo to engage a selection of Italian and European journalists for the Abruzzo Wine Experience, taking care of all press office and PR activities related to the event and also organising, together with wine journalist Filippo Bartolotta, two special guided tastings for the public, which in total consisted of more than 80 journalists from all over the world.


ACTIVITIES

According to the communication aims of the Consorzio, we presented a list of target press – Italian and European – and then took care of the invitations, travel and on-site management of the same press. Together with the Consorzio, we announced the event at the beginning of the year so as to be included in the calendars of the most important Italian events in the sector. We then took care of all local and national communication and supported the board in drafting and implementing the programme: tastings, dinners, masterclasses, visits to wineries, and so on. Zed-comm worked with Filippo Bartolotta for the arrangement of the two tastings – one on Cerasuolo and one on Montepulciano d’Abruzzo – led by him in English and the involvement of the wineries chosen by the moderator. The day of 7 June also saw the award ceremony for the international journalism competition ‘Words of Wine’, now in its seventh edition and for which an ad hoc communication was made. Zedcomm worked again this year with other communication agencies, also selected by the Consorzio, in a spirit of collaboration and synergy to achieve the objective.


OUTCOMES

The Abruzzo Wine Experience 2023 was experienced by the media involved as an important opportunity for discovery and comparison with an extremely wide and varied wine proposal, which is not easy to communicate and where the protagonists are truly many – grouped by the Consorzio body -. There was excellent press coverage and the feedback was also positive from the wineries that participated with their new vintages. This was certainly another important step in the communication and enhancement project that we have undertaken with this region, which is increasingly making itself known in Italy and abroad as one of the most dynamic on the national wine scene.

Gli Svitati – The screw cap revolution

On 6 March, we joined Gli Svitati: Franz Haas, Graziano Prà, Jermann, Pojer e Sandri and Walter Massa, five companies pioneering the use of screw caps in Italy, for their first official meeting. The meeting was held at Villa Sorio in Gambellara (VI), where first a conference and debate on screwcap was held, followed by a comparative tasting between corked and screwcap wines.


BRIEF

The Svitati chose to organise an event involving producer friends, sommeliers, restaurateurs, wine merchants and the national wine press to support the use of screw caps in the Italian market, which is still very traditionalist. The idea of the five visionaries was to unhinge old preconceptions and tell, through technical information and above all through wine tasting, how the screw cap is a valid choice for maintaining the very high quality of their wines.


ACTIVITIES

ZedComm supported the Svitati in the invitations to the press selected in agreement with the five producers, taking care of sending invitations, recalls and all the logistics related to transport and hosting the press. ZedComm also handled the drafting of the press kit, press releases and the collection of all the material needed to tell the story of Gli Svitati.


OUTCOMES

The event was attended by over thirty journalists from the local and national wine world, who subsequently covered the event with both articles and social shares, which was very well received in the wine scene with continuous publications and interviews.
