From October 28 to 30, 2025, in collaboration with PromoTurismoFVG, ZedCommm organized the “Connessioni d’Eccellenza” press tour—an experiential journey designed for a group of international travel journalists, with the aim of offering an authentic, close-up encounter with the soul of Friuli Venezia Giulia through its wines, its flavors, and the stories of its people. The tour began on Tuesday, October 28, with the arrival at Borgo Gradis’ciutta, in the heart of the Collio area, where guests were welcomed with a light lunch surrounded by vineyards. In the afternoon, the journalists attended an engaging masterclass on DOC wines from Friuli Venezia Giulia, led by sommelier Filippo Bartolotta. The day concluded with an elegant dinner at La Subida’s Preda in Cormons, joined by ambassador Wayne Young. On Wednesday, October 29, the group reached Oslavia, where they took part in a walk along the evocative Orange Bench Trail, featuring tastings of Ribolla Gialla and meetings with local producers. After lunch at the Fiegl winery, the afternoon continued at Acetaia Midolini, with a tasting experience featuring vinegars, Michele Gortani’s cheeses, and Molino Moras flours. The day ended with dinner at Osteria del Pinot Grigio Ramato, set within the beautiful Villa Butussi. The final day, Thursday, October 30, was dedicated to the Karst region, with a visit to the Skerk winery and a light lunch at Zinzendorf in Opicina, before departure.Three intense and authentic days—rich in encounters, tastings, and unique landscapes—designed to showcase the connections that make Friuli Venezia Giulia an outstanding destination.

“Half a Century of Excellence. The White Wines of Alto Adige: Freshness, Aromas, and Longevity” was the theme of the special evening dedicated to journalists from Campania, held on November 11 in Naples. The Alto Adige Wine Consortium, together with journalist and wine educator Filippo Bartolotta, presented eight wines in a tasting paired with the culinary creations of the young and talented chef Marco Caputi of Ristorante Veritas (1 Michelin Star). Guests had the chance to appreciate the freshness and verticality of three white wines (all 2023 vintages) from three completely different areas of this small oenological gem: Valle Isarco, Val Venosta, and Appiano. They then had the privilege of sampling older vintages of iconic wines from the region, as well as a preview of a label that has yet to be released on the market. The evening brought together industry experts and lifestyle-oriented wine journalists, who engaged with great enthusiasm and interest. It was an opportunity to discuss wine tourism and to highlight the cultural projects promoted by the Consortium: from the book published this year to the film on the Pioneers of Alto Adige and the new generations, presented in Bolzano just a few days earlier. The wines—extraordinary throughout—brilliantly conveyed half a century of history!

On November 4th, at Ristorante Alchimia in Milan, the Consorzio Morellino di Scansano held a press lunch as part of Rosso Morellino in Tour, the event that— for the first time— brought outside Tuscany the key appointment dedicated to enhancing the Maremma denomination. A selection of nine Morellino di Scansano wines— three Annata, three Intermedie, and three Riserva— was presented to Milan’s wine press, paired with the restaurant’s dishes to highlight the stylistic diversity and gastronomic versatility of Sangiovese from Scansano. During the event, the Consorzio also outlined its main ongoing projects, including the approval process for the new “Superiore” designation, designed to further enhance the quality and identity of the denomination. A meaningful opportunity to bring Milan’s wine media closer to the character and evolution of Morellino di Scansano.

Törggelen in South Tyrol: an autumn tradition

Törggelen is one of the most authentic and beloved traditions of South Tyrol, an autumn ritual that marks the arrival of the new season through flavour, conviviality and a rediscovery of rural heritage. Between October and November, along the scenic trails that wind through vineyards and apple orchards, the typical “Buschenschänke” – traditional rural taverns – open their doors to welcome guests with local specialities and newly produced wines. The term “Törggelen” comes from the Latin torquere, referring to the wine press used to crush grapes. Today, just as in the past, this custom is closely linked to the grape harvest and to the tasting of the new wine (“Suser” or must), served alongside warm and genuine South Tyrolean dishes. Among the most iconic delicacies are canederli (bread dumplings), barley soup, speck, sauerkraut, and of course roasted chestnuts, an essential symbol of Törggelen. A fundamental part of the experience is its bond with the landscape: many of the routes leading to the historic farmhouses follow the so-called “Törggelen Trails”, panoramic paths offering breathtaking views over the autumn scenery of the Isarco Valley, the Adige Valley, and the area around Bolzano and Merano. The Alto Adige Wine Consortium, deeply tied to this tradition, actively promotes its cultural relevance, enhancing not only the region’s food and wine heritage but also the connection between vineyards, identity and territory. This is an immersive wine tourism experience for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable autumn getaway — Törggelen is an appointment not to be missed.
