Zedcomm Wine Press Tour

Even though we are living through unusual times, we have thought of different ways to continue communicating with our customers efficiently.

We have organised remote wine tasting, sent samples and run digital events. As soon as it was allowed, we also planned a gathering in maximum safety, because human “capital” is always the element that makes the difference.

BRIEF

A journey into the world of wine: from Tedeschi’s Valpolicella and Venturini Baldini’s Emilia to Tenuta Mazzolino’s Oltrepò. Three worlds of wine and 3 different regions of Italy, three wineries run by women, able to tell their story through their wines but also through the story behind these winemakers, animated by passion and supported by long traditions.

ATTIVITÀ

Zedcomm took care of planning all the phases of this two day mini press tour – October 19th and 20th -. It involved only 6 participants, coming from different areas of Italy bringing them together in Milan for a safe departure on a dedicated transfer. Ad hoc events have been organized in each of the cellars: lunch and / or dinner, wine tastings, visits to the vineyards and the cellar. Zedcomm wanted to involve in this press tour transversal journalists – lifestyle, technicians and wine influencers – linked in different ways to the world of wine to allow each reality to be amplified from several points of view.

RISULTATI

The “mini” version  of this press trip allowed a constant comparison between the parts involved, expanding the comparison on transversal issues and transferring, through each story, its protagonists’ passion. The Social Media response was also immediate on the journalists’ personal channels, from IG to FB.

Tedeschi Wines Event – Ladies lunch @Viva by Viviana Varese (28 November 2019)

On November 28th, a very special event was held at the Viva restaurant in Piazza XXV Aprile on the second floor of Eataly.

BRIEF

Tedeschi Wines was the protagonist of a Ladies Lunch with wine and life style journalists: next to the menu of Chef Viviana Varese, the guests had the opportunity to taste some of the most representative products of the company telling the historical reality of the Valpolicella.

ATTIVITÀ

Zedcomm organized the event in collaboration with the restaurant, as well the press office activity linked to the initiative with the creation of a dedicated menu combined with the company’s wines. The PR activity of Zedcomm took place before, during and after the event, with the management of the list of invitations, recalls, on-site accreditations and sending press kits.

RISULTATI

The event was a great success with around 20 dinner titles, including Corriere della Sera, Amica, Vanity Fair, Gazza Golosa, Donna Moderna, Glamor, etc. It was an excellent opportunity for the client to introduce his wines in a transversal context, telling the story and the values: tradition, research that looks at innovation, and respect for a deep connection with the territory.

Consorzio Vini Doc delle Venezie Event

Last 14th October, the first Pinot Grigio international summit organised by Consorzio Vini Doc delle Venezie was held in Venice, in collaboration with Civiltà del bere. The convention, dedicated to this grape variety which is very popular all around the world but has become the symbol of Italian great white wines, focused on Italian Pinot grigio possible trends and the great potential represented by an etiquette that places the “Italian Style” at the centre of its philosophy.

The event, promoted by Consorzio Doc delle Venezie, an organisation representing 42% of the global production, was attended by the international press and other professionals.

BRIEF

The hosts took part at the conference “I valori del Pinot grigio delle Venezie DOC”: a crucial moment of confrontation on DOC with a parterre of experts, both from Italy and abroad, who took stock of the present and future perspectives of this unquestionably successful wine. The event saw the attendance of some well-known experts from the main reference foreign markets, including Emma Dawson MW (buyer Berkmann Wine Cellars, London) for the English market, on the theme “In UK is a matter of style”, Christy Canterbury MW (journalist from New York) for the American market, “A phenomenon born in the USA”. Among the most authoritative Italian participants, Ettore Nicoletto (AD Gruppo Santa Margherita), “The brand’s strength, the pioneers’ responsibility”, Sandro Sartor (MD Constellation Brands Europe, Middle East, Africa and Ruffino), “A new DOC and the preservation of values on global markets”, Alberto Marchisio (DG Cantine Vitevis), “From commodity to territorial project”, Flavio Innocenzi (DC Vanofiere), “Interpreting, promoting and preserving Italian origins in the world”.

Later the same day, a walk-around tasting reserved to trade and press operators was held with the opportunity to discover the different Pinot grigio delle Venezie expressions thanks to more than 80 etiquettes available for tasting.

ATTIVITÀ

Zedcomm, together with Civiltà del bere, partner of the initiative, took care of the event organisation, of the press office activities with the writing and issue of two press releases (before and after the event was held), of the recall activities, of the invites of a selected contact list of people belonging to the enogastronomic field and the press kit preparation.

RISULTATI

The event had a great success among press: there were over 40 people from Italian, foreign and local press. There was also the intervention of Italian and foreign newspapers specialised in wine, bloggers, tv, cooking magazines and press offices. A very important moment of confrontation to introduce the “Italian style” Pinot grigio and its strong territorial identity more closely.

Tedeschi Wines and DIEGO M event during Milano Wine Week 2019

Last 10th October 2019, while Milano Wine Week – the Milanese week dedicated to wine and wine producers, with over 300 events and 6 Wine Districts – was in full swing, Tedeschi Wines, with its DIEGO M shop situated in the very central Corso Venezia, was the main protagonist of a wine tasting evening dedicated to press, some selected customers and a few VIP clients.

BRIEF

The hosts had the opportunity to taste some labels by the historical Valpolicella company: Amarone Marne 180 Docg (2016 vintage), Valpolicella Superiore Capitel Nicalò (2017 vintage), a wine which shows the great expression of its native land. And Capitel Tenda, a Soave DOC Classico, an elegant and velvety wine.

ATTIVITÀ

Zedcomm took care of the event organisation in synergy with DIEGO M’s team, dealing with suppliers (stylist and photographer), with the press office activities linked to the event (for which a press release was written and issued), with the recall activities and the invitations sent to a selected list of Wine and Lifestyle contacts. Zedcomm’s PR activity took place before, during and after the event thanks to their management of the invitation list, recalls, on-the-spot accreditations and press material shipping.

RISULTATI

The event achieved good success with its public, with approximately 80 participants (40 of whom were journalists) and the intervention of the local press on Milano, Blogger Vino, cooking magazines and wine agencies, in addition with DIEGO M store’s top clients. It was a good opportunity for our customer to let people know – through a “transversal” context – its Tedeschi wines, narrating its story and values to Milano Wine Week’s Milanese public: a story made of tradition and research, and a deep respect for the profound bond with its territory.
