SUMMA 2022 – Wineries from all over Italy meet along Strada del Vino

Summa 2022: the wine and food event organised by Alois Lageder in the charming village of Magrè on the Strada del Vino. The best Italian wineries, which have made sustainability their cornerstone principle, will meet there.


BRIEF

With its 23rd edition, after a two-year stop, Summa is back with great enthusiasm. The wine event, held in the evocative historic location of Casòn Hirschprunn, hosted 99 Italian and 8 international wineries, which guided the press, operators and wine lovers to discover the best organic-dynamic wines. The challenge was to return to the event in presence, respecting the regulations currently in force, emphasising the product and the holistic philosophy at the Alois Lageder Estate, a pioneer of biodynamic winemaking.


ACTIVITIES

Zed_Comm managed all PR and press office activities to promote the event before and afterwards. It also identified a group of Italian press and influencers, chosen together with the company on the basis of the latter’s visibility objectives, inviting them and accompanying them to the event, arranging the logistics as well as the content to be disseminated to the journalists themselves. The evening before the event, a dinner was organised for the journalists to bring them even closer to the Estate and its principles. This was followed by a post-event follow-up activity to amplify the results in the national, local and television press and on social networks.


OUTCOMES

The event was attended by almost 2000 people, including a selection of journalists from the wine and lifestyle press. The media covered before and after the event – which is certified GreenEvent – giving visibility to the event and the companies that decided to participate. The enthusiastic public was thus able to become acquainted with the event and take part in it, choosing from the many opportunities available (from tastings to visits to the vineyard and winery to in-depth seminars).

Tedeschi Winery: Amarone Maternigo debuts in Milan, Rome and Verona at three dedicated press lunches

“The strength of the earth, the character of the mother”. Amarone della Valpolicella Docg Riserva 2016 Maternigo, Tedeschi Winery’s new identity project, was officially presented at three press lunches in Milan, Rome and Verona.


BRIEF

Maternigo is the new wine project that identifies in a precise and defined way the history of the Tedeschi family, a path made up of values and traditions with an outward-looking eye on the future. The name Maternigo means “land of the mother” and refers to a structure once present on the winery’s property, where girls in labour were welcomed. This Amarone is produced from the Barila vineyard, selected after careful zoning and soil characterization for its production of grapes that are particularly rich in structure: the result is a Riserva of great character and remarkable aromatic character.


ACTIVITIES

ZedComm organised 3 press lunches with the Tedeschi family to launch this important project to a specialised public, who were able to taste Amarone Maternigo and the other wines produced by the winery, expertly paired by the chefs with typical local dishes. The press lunches were hosted in three prestigious locations in key cities for the trade press: 20 October in Milan at the Cracco restaurant in the Galleria, 27 October at the Beef Bazaar in Rome and 9 November at the Bottega Vini in Verona.


OUTCOMES

The events were attended by a total of around 40 guests: 30 journalists and 10 sector experts and sommeliers, who greatly appreciated the format of the event, ensured editorial coverage and contributed to increasing awareness of the Tedeschi brand.

Equazione Botanical Essence: launch of the beauty brand Made in Sicily at Fioraio Bianchi in Milan

ZedComm was in charge of organising a press event for Equazione Botanical Essence, a new “clean beauty” brand. The presentation was held on 2 December 2021 at a historic location in Milan, Fioraio Bianchi.


BRIEF

Equazione Botanical Essence was conceived from the pharmaceutical knowledge of Giusi Aricò and the botanical expertise of her husband Michele Faro, with the aim of creating unique, high quality body care products designed for those who love to feel good in their daily lives. Everything originates from an aesthetic equation: nature is beauty. It is this combination of plants, fruits and pharmaceutical science that has led to the creation of a line of body care products based on advanced botanical research to provide the skin with deep nourishment and an intense sensory experience. In addition to the body care line, the brand has also created a number of items dedicated to the home: candles and room scents with the same aromas used in creams and soaps (Cestrum, Finger Lime, Plumeria and Yuzu).


ACTIVITIES

ZedComm organised an event for the press, bloggers and influencers in the beauty and lifestyle sector. The press day was held in a historic location in Milan, Fioraio Bianchi. This was not a casual choice: the brand comes from the nursery experience of the Faro family and the pharmaceutical expertise of Giusi Aricò. The idea, therefore, was to stage the presentation in a context that shared these values, linked to nature. For the occasion, the space hosted the plants and fruits from which the products come to life. Guests were therefore able to smell the origin of the products’ fragrances.


OUTCOMES

The event was attended by around 60 guests, including journalists and a number of top influencers, who amplified the brand’s popularity on social media, and immediately generated excellent editorial coverage. Among the influencers, we highlight the participation of Catherine Poulain @official_cat, Ilaria Ferraro @ilariaferrarotoueg and Valentina Coco @zagufashion.

ZedComm was in charge of realising the event Oltrepò – Pinot Nero Land: a territory, a grape variety, two excellences, at Antica Tenuta Pegazzera in Casteggio (Pavia province), an aristocratic palace on the hills of Oltrepò Pavese.


BRIEF

The event was strongly desired by 20 producers, along with the support of Oltrepò Pavese Consortium, to promote the double soul of a great variety: the Metodo Classico bubbles and the elegant red wine, which both come from the Pinot Nero grape. A sensory experience of discovering and deepening, under the guide of Alessandra Piubello and Filippo Bartolotta, two expert and prepared wine communicators, well-known at an international level.


TASKS

During the day, a walk-around tasting took place, in which the producers had the opportunity to let journalists and trade representatives taste their wines. In the morning, a press conference was held, with the participation of the two speakers Filippo Bartolotta and Alessandra Piubello, the spokesperson of the participant wineries Ottavia Giorgi di Vistarino from Conte Vistarino winery, the agronomist Pierluigi Donna and the Director of the Oltrepò Consortium Carlo Veronese. Two masterclasses were organized as well. The first one, held by Alessandra Piubello, was dedicated to the Pinot Nero Metodo Classico. The second one, on the red version of Pinot Nero, was directed by Filippo Bartolotta.


OUTCOMES

At its first edition, the event saw the participation of 54 journalists and over 150 trade representatives, who were impressed by the quality of the wines and the beautiful sharing mood of the participant wineries. Producers were also happy about the organization and efficiency in terms of audience quality and brand reputation.
