After the stages held in Milan (December 2024) and during the Myopia Awareness Week in May 2025, EssilorLuxottica continued its commitment to raising awareness on childhood myopia with two new local events in Mestre and Catania. Both initiatives, of high scientific and social value, were designed to promote a culture of visual prevention from early childhood and to present the results of a new Ipsos study focused on the visual habits of Italian families.Specifically, the meetings – hosted at Villa Barbarich in Mestre (October 21) and Isola Catania (October 31) – brought together ophthalmologists, pediatricians, and opticians for a constructive discussion on the risks of the so-called “myopidemia” and the importance of early diagnosis. In particular, among the key topics, speakers explored the technological solutions currently available for managing myopia, including Stellest® lenses featuring H.A.L.T. (Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target) technology. This advanced innovation has proven effective in slowing down the progression of myopia in children, offering a concrete and accessible tool for vision professionals.Furthermore, the Ipsos research, conducted on over 1,000 Italian families, revealed that 35% of children are already myopic. However, one in three parents is still unaware of the risks associated with untreated myopia and of the crucial importance of early eye examinations. For both events, Zedcomm managed the entire organization, from venue selection and supplier coordination to press invitations and media relations. As a result, the initiatives achieved remarkable attendance, strong local engagement, and wide visibility across major industry media.Ultimately, through these events, Zedcomm reinforces its long-standing collaboration with EssilorLuxottica, supporting the company in scientific communication and in building a virtuous network among professionals and families — thus promoting a more informed, preventive, and proactive approach to children’s visual health.

ZedComm organized two exclusive press trips for Knight Frank, dedicated to exploring the Italian luxury real estate market in its most iconic expressions: Venice and Florence. The first event, held from September 30 to October 1, took the press on a journey through the allure and investment opportunities of the Venetian property market, together with Serena Bombassei, owner of Venice Real Estate – Knight Frank. During the tour, journalists visited some of the city’s most remarkable properties, delving into the trends that make Venice one of the most sought-after real estate destinations worldwide. At the end of October, the second press trip focused on Florence. Led by Bill Thomson, CEO of Knight Frank Italy and owner of Tuscany Real Estate, participants explored some extraordinary residences in the area, including Villa Capponi — a noble historic estate on the hills of Querceto, recently restored while preserving its timeless elegance. Among the media taking part in the two tours were leading lifestyle and industry publications such as Gentleman, The Good Life Italia, Elle Decor, The Travel News, and We-Wealth, confirming the growing media interest in the intersection between real estate, design, and the art of Italian living.

Törggelen in South Tyrol: an autumn tradition

Törggelen is one of the most authentic and beloved traditions of South Tyrol, an autumn ritual that marks the arrival of the new season through flavour, conviviality and a rediscovery of rural heritage. Between October and November, along the scenic trails that wind through vineyards and apple orchards, the typical “Buschenschänke” – traditional rural taverns – open their doors to welcome guests with local specialities and newly produced wines. The term “Törggelen” comes from the Latin torquere, referring to the wine press used to crush grapes. Today, just as in the past, this custom is closely linked to the grape harvest and to the tasting of the new wine (“Suser” or must), served alongside warm and genuine South Tyrolean dishes. Among the most iconic delicacies are canederli (bread dumplings), barley soup, speck, sauerkraut, and of course roasted chestnuts, an essential symbol of Törggelen. A fundamental part of the experience is its bond with the landscape: many of the routes leading to the historic farmhouses follow the so-called “Törggelen Trails”, panoramic paths offering breathtaking views over the autumn scenery of the Isarco Valley, the Adige Valley, and the area around Bolzano and Merano. The Alto Adige Wine Consortium, deeply tied to this tradition, actively promotes its cultural relevance, enhancing not only the region’s food and wine heritage but also the connection between vineyards, identity and territory. This is an immersive wine tourism experience for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable autumn getaway — Törggelen is an appointment not to be missed.

Wednesday, October 22, among the rolling hills connecting Gambellara and the Colli Berici, Cavazza Winery will open the doors of its estate for a special event dedicated to its prestigious line of red wines, “Cicogna” — a true symbol of elegance and territorial identity. The occasion will mark the official presentation of the Cicogna rebranding, a project that refreshes the line’s image without altering its tradition, further enhancing its connection to the Vicenza region and to the heritage of the Cavazza family. At the same time, the winery will also announce the introduction of a new price list exclusively dedicated to old vintages — a bold and distinctive choice that highlights the ability of Cavazza wines to evolve over time, expressing, harvest after harvest, the unique personality of the Colli Berici. To celebrate this new chapter, the day will feature a vertical tasting of seven vintages of Cicogna, led by Frasson, who will guide participants on a sensory journey through the wine’s evolution over the years. The program will begin at 10:30 AM with a welcome reception at the estate, followed at 11:00 AM by the presentation of the project together with the Cavazza family. The tasting will start at 11:45 AM, followed by a convivial lunch at 1:00 PM and a cellar visit in the early afternoon. The event will conclude around 3:00 PM. It will be a moment of connection, discovery, and sharing, designed to highlight the work and vision of a family that has passionately carried forward the culture of Vicenza wine for generations. An invitation to immerse yourself in a story of authenticity, tradition, and renewal: Cavazza and its Cicogna are ready to take flight again — higher than ever.
