On Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 March, a press tour to discover one of Italy’s most interesting wine territories. Accompanying the journalists on this fascinating itinerary through the heart of Irpinia was the Fonzone family, which for the event presented Mattoda’, its new 100% Aglianico red wine, signed by the consulting oenologist Luca D’Attoma. After the presentation and tour of the cellar with a preview tasting of the new vintages tapped from the tanks, there was a gala dinner by Michelin-starred chef Gennaro Esposito, who delighted guests with his creations enhanced by the full range of Fonzone wines, from Falanghina to Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo. The next day, a tour through the vineyards to discover the special features of these extraordinary autochthonous vines. A two-day intense experience among Irpinia’s scents, flavours and flourishing nature.
