Great public success and record internationality for the 57th edition of Marmomac.

Positive and ever-growing numbers were once again recorded for the 57th edition of Marmomac, held September 26-29 in Verona, where 51 thousand operators arrived over four days (+10% over 2022) with an important increase in buyers from abroad (+15%). Marmomac, the international benchmark exhibition for the natural stone supply chain, thus reaffirmed its role as the main global hub for the stone and processing technology market. Four full days of business and a full fairgrounds, with 12 pavilions and 3 outdoor areas occupied. Culture and education also took center stage: at pav. 10 , in fact, The Plus Theatre, a hub of natural stone-related experimentation that hosted exhibitions, workshops and talks, was staged. Big news this year: A matter of stone, the new commercial area in Hall. 1, curated in concept by Elle Decor, where companies exhibited design projects and products and, thanks to targeted b2b meetings, came into contact with professionals from the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland and Italy, who were called upon to decide on the use of the materials in construction and furnishing.

Zedcomm at Silmo to find out what’s new in the world of eyewear!

From 29 September to 2 October 2023 in the halls of the Parc des Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte took place the 56th edition of SILMO Paris, the second international eyewear exhibition. In attendance were 900 exhibitors from over forty countries who welcomed the 27,000 visitors. The Zedcomm team showed the journalists from the national and international trade press the new trends and technological innovations of our customers in attendance: IMMAGINE 98, INVU, LIGHTBIRD, LOOK, MEI SYSTEM, NIRVAN JAVAN.The highlight of the four days in Paris was the evening of honour of the SILMO D’OR, the international industry award, which this year took place in the characteristic setting of the Alexis Gruss circus. Next international appointment for our OPTI 2024 eyewear team in Munich on 10-12 January 2024.

Cleto Munari’s eyewear collection premiered at Mondelliani shop

On 21 September at Mondelliani in Via dei Prefetti 11 in Rome, the international preview presentation of Cleto Munari’s eyewear collection took place at the presence of the artist. Passionate about eyewear, design accessories and art since 1961, the ‘Mondelliani’ have distinguished themselves over the years for their scrupulous and futuristic research work by travelling around the world to find the most extraordinary models, becoming a point of reference for innovative and unconventional designs.In his 50 years of artistic production, Cleto Munari once again chooses to express his creativity in a different sphere, creating a collection of signature objects poised between art and design. Concave and convex, empty and full. Each shape is a stratification of Cleto Munari’s artistic and intellectual experiences. The collection consists of 13 models. Colour is an indispensable part of the compositional game: it cleverly reveals the playful aspect of the collection. “Colour is much more than a ‘verb’ for me: it is essence like form,” Cleto Munari declares.

MEI System opens the doors of its headquarter in Ponte San Pietro (BG) to welcome the trade press!

A global leader in the production of ophthalmic lens cutting machines, MEI System welcomed Italian journalists from the optical trade for the first time at its headquarters in Ponte San Pietro (BG). It was an opportunity to present the company’s beautiful headquarters – inaugurated in 2016 – and soon to be further expanded, its new international branches, and to delve into the company’s activities as well as the machinery presented that have led it to be one of the reference realities on the world scene and industrial excellence of Made in Italy. The day ended with a tour of the production plant. A fast-growing reality that, thanks to the passion of the founders – Stefano Sonzogni and Raffaele Scudeletti – and an important research team has over the years launched on the market innovative machinery with a very high technological rate, for the optics sector for large and small laboratories, thus registering constantly growing results.
