Demeter Italia at Slow Wine Fair and SANA Food

Demeter Italia, an association of producers, distributors, and processors of biodynamic agricultural products, celebrates the success achieved at the Slow Wine Fair and SANA Food, where it participated as an official partner. Both events took place for the first time simultaneously at Bolognafiere from February 23 to 25. The Slow Wine Fair featured 33 certified biodynamic wineries, 15 Italian and 18 foreign. In line with Slow Food’s values, Demeter Italia promoted in-depth discussions and tastings: the conference “Forgotten Vines: the passion of Demeter biodynamic winemakers revives native varieties” and the masterclass “Care, Participation, Unpredictability: relationships between biodynamics and wine,” both held on Sunday, February 23, with the participation of the press, farm owners, and those wishing to approach the world of biodynamics. At the same time, at SANA Food, Demeter Italia welcomed visitors to its institutional stand.

Tuscan Excellence at Chianti Classico Collection

On February 17 and 18, the Chianti Classico Collection took place at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence, an important event to celebrate the excellence of the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination. The appointment offered the opportunity to discover new vintages and delve into the richness of this wine territory. The wineries Dievole, Fèlsina, and Castello di Fonterutoli participated in the event with their stands, presenting their labels to a select audience of press, operators, and wine enthusiasts. Each company showcased a selection of representative wines, telling the story and production philosophy that characterizes them. At the same time, during the event, a private tasting room was set up for Italian and international journalists, who could taste and review the wines of the companies. The initiative allowed for valuable feedback and reinforced Chianti Classico’s reputation as one of the world’s most prestigious denominations.

Lake Garda Wines: The 5 Consortia of Lake Garda united at Wine Paris

For the first time, the Consortia Bardolino, Custoza, Garda, Lugana, and Valtènesi joined forces at Vinexpo – Wine Paris to promote the territory of Lake Garda and its products. This collaboration represents an important synergy to enhance the identity and wine quality of a highly prestigious geographical area. The 5 Consortia participated in the Wine Paris fair with a single stand and presented their union on February 4 in Milan at a press conference at Starhotels Echo, attended by around forty journalists from the wine and lifestyle sectors. The meeting highlighted the common desire to strengthen the international presence and communicate the values of sustainability and tradition that characterize Garda wines. At the Paris event, the union was officially sanctioned on February 10 with a tasting curated by Costantino Gabardi, a sector expert, and a toast among the Presidents of the 5 Consortia and the invited guests: press and operators from Italy and abroad. The event was highly appreciated, consolidating Lake Garda’s reputation as an area of excellence in the European wine scene.

Milan, the eyewear capital with Mido. From February 8 to 10, Milan became the global eyewear capital, hosting the industry’s most important trade event at the Fieramilano Rho-Pero exhibition center. The event brought together 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries and 42,000 visitors from 160 nations, marking a +9% increase compared to the previous year. A must-attend event for optical professionals, industry companies, and international media, Mido showcased the latest innovations in lenses, frames, machinery, and contact lenses. The ZedComm team participated throughout the three-day event, guiding national and international trade press through their clients’ booths. The agenda was packed with meetings and in-depth discussions, focusing on the synergy between communication and innovation. Adding to the event’s dynamism was a select group of influencers, including fashion and beauty bloggers and gamers, with a combined following of over one million on TikTok and several hundred thousand on Instagram. Their booth visits helped amplify the storytelling around new products, reaching a younger, trend-conscious audience. The Milan eyewear fair reaffirmed itself as an unmissable event for industry professionals, journalists, and optical experts, solidifying its role as an international hub for business and communication. The growing importance of both trade and consumer communication in the optical and eyewear sector highlights the need for integrated strategies to enhance brand positioning and showcase innovation. The next edition of Mido Milan will take place in 2026 from January 31 to February 2 with dates moved forward to avoid overlapping with events related to Winter Olympics Milan Cortina 2026. A must-save date for everyone in the eyewear industry!
