During Milano Wine Week 2021, the Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo entertained Porta Venezia district. A masterclass held by Leila Salimbeni presented the Abruzzo Pecorino in all its facets to press and wine experts. The press was also invited on 4 October to taste the new vintages of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and Cerasuolo produced by some of the Consorzio’s wineries at the CERA restaurant in Milan.
After being staged in Venice, in the evocative setting of the Chiostri di San Francesco della Vigna, Off the Skins – the exhibition celebrating 60 years of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio – was presented in Milan at Palazzo Durini, the Milan headquarters of Santa Margherita. An exclusive event took place on 9 September during the “Supersalone” – the special 2021 edition of the Salone del Mobile – together with the announcement of an all-new Capsule Collection of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio Impronta del Fondatore, aimed at celebrating this remarkable goal.
Off the Skins, realised in collaboration with the students of the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) of Venice and curated by Current, is a story in pictures of this iconic wine of Made in Italy excellence worldwide.
In the stunning setting of the ‘Enrico Bartolini MUDEC’ Restaurant in Milan, Filippo Mazzei introduced the 2018 vintage of the Gran Selezione of Castello di Fonterutoli. Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Gran Selezione – Castellina in Chianti, Vicoregio 36 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione – Castelnuovo Berardenga and Badiòla Chianti Classico Gran Selezione – Radda in Chianti. Indeed, the three 100% Sangiovese Cru are the expression of specific vineyards that Castello di Fonterutoli owns in the three different municipalities. The wine tasting was offered in pairing with the creations of Chef Enrico Bartolini.
2020 was a year of reflection, silence, sobriety, but also of wealth: we were able to recognize the importance of our country and its beauties. The large spaces and empty squares have allowed us to see the masterpieces of Italian architecture with new eyes.
The new Architexture Collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Budri which will be presented at the Budri Showroom in Foro Buonaparte during the Milan Design Week, is in fact inspired, albeit in a very contemporary form, by the Italian architectural tradition. Minimal and linear shapes leave voice to marble, the protagonist of modern and elegant tables.
Architexture includes eight tables of different heights and sizes: two circular and one rectangular dining-tables, two circular coffee-tables and three circular side-tables. Only apparently simple, the tables in the collection are the result of a deep and careful analysis of Italian architecture. The Leitmotiv of the entire collection are the bases of the tables, represented by self-standing columns in marble, composed of colored rings that alternate with each other.
An extensive artwork belonging to the same collection acts as a ‘backstage’ to the Architexture tables.
The “TuttoGreen” Carpet, made of green marbles, also represents a method for recovering processing material coming from the feet of the tables.
