Off the Skins: ‘Santa Margherita’ Pinot Grigio is celebrating its 60th anniversary

After being staged in Venice, in the evocative setting of the Chiostri di San Francesco della Vigna, Off the Skins – the exhibition celebrating 60 years of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio – was presented in Milan at Palazzo Durini, the Milan headquarters of Santa Margherita. An exclusive event took place on 9 September during the “Supersalone” – the special 2021 edition of the Salone del Mobile – together with the announcement of an all-new Capsule Collection of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio Impronta del Fondatore, aimed at celebrating this remarkable goal.

Off the Skins, realised in collaboration with the students of the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) of Venice and curated by Current, is a story in pictures of this iconic wine of Made in Italy excellence worldwide.

Castello di Fonterutoli at the MUDEC in Milan: presented the 2018 vintage of the winery’s Gran Selezione

In the stunning setting of the ‘Enrico Bartolini MUDEC’ Restaurant in Milan, Filippo Mazzei introduced the 2018 vintage of the Gran Selezione of Castello di Fonterutoli. Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Gran Selezione – Castellina in Chianti, Vicoregio 36 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione – Castelnuovo Berardenga and Badiòla Chianti Classico Gran Selezione – Radda in Chianti. Indeed, the three 100% Sangiovese Cru are the expression of specific vineyards that Castello di Fonterutoli owns in the three different municipalities. The wine tasting was offered in pairing with the creations of Chef Enrico Bartolini.

Budri Presents The New “Architexture” Collection By Patricia Urquola

2020 was a year of reflection, silence, sobriety, but also of wealth: we were able to recognize the importance of our country and its beauties. The large spaces and empty squares have allowed us to see the masterpieces of Italian architecture with new eyes.

The new Architexture Collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Budri which will be presented at the Budri Showroom in Foro Buonaparte during the Milan Design Week, is in fact inspired, albeit in a very contemporary form, by the Italian architectural tradition. Minimal and linear shapes leave voice to marble, the protagonist of modern and elegant tables.

Architexture includes eight tables of different heights and sizes: two circular and one rectangular dining-tables, two circular coffee-tables and three circular side-tables. Only apparently simple, the tables in the collection are the result of a deep and careful analysis of Italian architecture. The Leitmotiv of the entire collection are the bases of the tables, represented by self-standing columns in marble, composed of colored rings that alternate with each other.

An extensive artwork belonging to the same collection acts as a ‘backstage’ to the Architexture tables.

The “TuttoGreen” Carpet, made of green marbles, also represents a method for recovering processing material coming from the feet of the tables.

Villa Bogdano 1880 chooses Zed_Comm for press office activities and media relations in Italy

The fearless custodians of biodiversity and the identity of the territory’s wines, Domenico Veronese and Lucio Tessari from Villa Bogdano 1880, have chosen Zed_Comm as partner for communications, press office activities and public relations for the Italian market.

Villa Bogdano 1880 is located in Lison di Portogruaro, near Venice and between the Alps and the Adriatic coast. The territory within the Planitia Estate is a true environmental oasis, classified as a Site of Community Importance by the European Union for its varieties of flora and fauna, where organically certified wines grow just a stone’s throw from lowlands woods dating back to 1200.

Domenico Veronese and CEO Lucio Tessari have been at the helm of the Estate since 2016 and are responsible and respectful custodians. The single Estate is bordered by two rivers which is a great advantage as during the 1920s it allowed the original characteristics of the land to be maintained, whilst today it protects the vineyards from possible external contamination. In the 110 hectares of vineyards, whose roots sink into a clay-rich chalky terroir, low yields are favored, with much attention paid to protecting the ancient vines and enhancing the native varieties. As well as Tai and Glera, there are vineyards of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Malvasia has been replanted. These choices have allowed Villa Bogdano 1800 wines to strengthen their identity, winning them prizes and finding them a specific place in the international market. Lison Classico Docg, Merlot Riserva 195 and Lison Pramaggiore Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Doc in particular are the leading wines.
