The 31st edition of the Merano Wine Festival entitled “Breath and Cry of the Earth” took place from 4 to 8 November. A packed program of masterclasses and walk around tastings in which the press and trade operators were able to taste the award-winning wines of WineHunter Helmuth Köcher, who for decades has been staging one of the world’s best and most popular food and wine events, in the heart fo the Alps. Merano is the ideal location for a festival with an international flavor and the headquarters of the Kurhaus, an authentic Art Nouveau symbol of the Tyrolean city, is the treasure chest where, on an annual basis, rigorously selected producers present their best labels. The last edition saw the participation of 1,500 visitors per day and many awards of excellence that returned a complete picture of the Italian food and wine scene. More than 450 wineries, 200 artisans of taste and 15 chefs took part in the event.

Among the names of the national wine panorama present, as every year, were also many wineries followed by our Agency which have allowed us to tell journalists many news from all over Italy: Alois Lageder (Alto Adige), Castello di Fonterutoli (Chianti Classico), Domenico Clerico (Piedmont), Fonzone (Campania), Lungarotti (Umbria), Monteverro (Tuscany), Venturini Baldini (Emilia Romagna) and the oenologist Luca D’Attoma with his numerous collaborations. A full immersion between labels, territories, and people while waiting for the next edition of the Festival.
